Improve on-site security, greet guests, and control building access. We offer Texas State licensed security guard services in accordance with Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1702 and Texas Administrative Code Chapter 35.

A Security Guard who knows and understands the Texas State Laws can do a lot, including temporary holds or detainments until Law Enforcement arrives. We are not Law Enforcement Officers, but we know what we can do to support the public safety of the Greater Austin area. Our Guards receive 20+ hours of legal training and ongoing monthly training.

Texas State Law forbids the word “Police” to appear on Security Guard uniforms. Texas State Law also forbids the use of any insignia with the intent to give an impression that the person is connected with the federal government, a state government, or a political subdivision of a state government. As much as we want to represent Texas, our State Flag cannot appear on our uniforms. Section 1702.130.

Chris Covo owns and operates commercial service companies with his best friends to serve the community. He is the co-founder of Exterior Cleaning Solutions, Revival Surfaces, and Scout Security Group. For over a decade Chris learned the ins and outs of the commercial service world first at PJS of Texas, the largest privately owned commercial janitorial company, and later ECS. Chris received his B.A. from Texas State University, where he served as Student Body President and was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry as Student Regent. He received an M.A. in Legal and Political Theory from University College London. Chris' greatest joy is his family. He runs a hand-dipped chocolate truffles company with his father - www.CovoChocolate.com (ask him about the first account they sold to Donald Trump!) and, as any good Italian should be, is known for his pasta sauce. He is a second degree black belt in Taekwondo and occasionally plays drums with his jazz trio around town. He lives in Austin with his wife and kids!

CJ serves as the President of Scout Security Group. He is an experienced leader and trainer with a career and background in military, law enforcement, and security. CJ is responsible for the stewardship and development of the Scout operating teams day-to-day success and training. He was a member of US special operations and served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. After completion of his service CJ joined the FBI as a Special Agent. During this time he specialized in counter terrorism, worked as a Homicide detective assisting Oakland Police Department, and served on the FBI SWAT team as a team leader, sniper, and training and operations coordinator. CJ earned his bachelor's degree in International Affairs from Florida State University and has an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He is also a fitness addict and gym regular, a college football fanatic, and parent to a spoiled Anatolian Shepherd dog.

Walker serves as the Director of Operations for Scout Security Group. He is an experienced leader with a background in military, commercial services, and tech. Walker is responsible for the training and development of Scout security personnel as well as overseeing the day to day operations. He served for over eight years in the United States Army including combat operations in Afghanistan and training allied partners in Thailand, South Korea, and the Philippines. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge in addition to completing Ranger School, Airborne School, Air Assault School and competing in the Best Ranger Competition. Prior to joining Scout, Walker served as the Director of Irrigation at Clean Scapes as well as a Senior Program Manager at Amazon supporting same-day delivery and Amazon Business. Walker earned his bachelor's degree from Auburn University and has an MBA from the University of Texas. He is also a runner, youth sports coach, and lifelong learner. He lives in Austin with his wife and children.

Leroy Henry is from Kissimmee, Florida, and graduated with his B.A. in Computer and Information Science from Charleston Southern University, where he was also a D1 athlete – a starter and a full scholarship recipient on the football team. After graduation, Leroy moved to Austin where he worked hard and received an introduction to the commercial services space through Leadership Academy, and honed his operational experience at Top Choice Lawn Care.
Now, Leroy serves as our Operations Manager where he supports all aspects of the operations with a focus on quality control and employee relations.
Outside of work, you’ll find Leroy lifting LOTS of weights and exercising.

Greg serves as the Program Manager for Training & Development for Scout Security Group. He has over 30 years combined experience as a federal law enforcement agent (FBI), defense contractor, and combat experienced US Army officer. In his roles at the FBI, he served as a crisis response supervisor, tactical operator, team leader, and team commander.
He also held positions as a counterterrorism investigator, and provided specialized trainings for numerous law enforcement and military personnel in areas such as small unit tactics, crisis response, tactical firearms, and team leadership. Greg has also delivered crucial active threat response training to hundreds of civilians.
Aside from his professional endeavors, Greg has a passion for off-road driving and expeditions. He is a founding member of Fox Bravo Overland, an adventure group that provides off-road experiences for veterans and first responders. Greg resides near Georgetown, Texas, with his wife and two dogs living their best lives, Poppy and Odie.

Isabella is from Austin, Texas and recently graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Business. Isabella serves as Chief of Staff where she helps in a variety of ways to guide operations and keep the team moving in the right direction. Isabella values creating meaningful experiences for people and adding value to an environment. She loves to spend her free time enjoying Austin’s nature and cheering on the Longhorns.

Virginia Lopez serves as the Head of People Operations at Scout. With a comprehensive portfolio encompassing every facet of Human Resources, including recruitment, hiring, and fostering robust employee relationships, Virginia orchestrates the symphony of talent that drives Scout's success. Rooted in her belief that people are the most invaluable asset within any organization, she brings her rich background in both public and private sector Human Resources and Operations to the forefront. Roselyn serves as Reporting Manager for Scout Security Group. She is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of security reports, providing thorough reports to management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders. Her role extends to briefing management with key insights, ensuring proactive and effective security measures.
Originally from Houston and now a resident of Austin for over four years, she brings experience and dedication to her role in security management. With a background in labor-intensive roles such as fencing, electrical, light mechanical work, and three years as a locomotive engineer, Roselyn has had the opportunity to hone her precision, safety-consciousness, and hands-on problem-solving skills. Prior to her current role, she provided safety services in a downtown environment, supporting local businesses and the community. Passionate about maintaining high standards and doing what’s necessary to keep things running smoothly, she values honesty, hard work, and showing up to get the job done right.
Outside of work, Roselyn enjoys exploring Austin with her daughter, from outdoor adventures to creative arts and crafts projects.

Stefan hails from Arcadia, Florida and graduated from Charleston Southern University with a degree in Finance. He serves as Supply and Logistics Manager for Scout where he maintains the fleet and manages uniforms and equipment. Stefan values creating a healthy and well balanced lifestyle. Angel serves as Scheduler and provides operational support to the Scout Team. She relocated to Austin from Southern Illinois 2 years ago, and since being in Austin has worked as a non-commissioned, commissioned and personal protection security officer,
as well as an operations manager. Angel is a dedicated security professional with a strong commitment to safeguarding people and assets. Currently, Angel is expanding her expertise by pursuing a degree in Business Administration. The combination of Angel’s practical security experience and operations experience allow her to be a versatile contributor, ready to tackle the evolving challenges of the industry. In her free time Angel enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family.

Jorge Rodriguez is the Account and Training Manager at Scout Security Group, bringing extensive leadership experience from military, law enforcement, and private security sectors.
During his 11-year service in the United States Army, including combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, Jorge earned the Combat Infantryman Badge and Expert Infantryman Badge, and completed multiple leadership courses.
Following his military career, he served as a patrol officer with the Austin Police Department, where he worked on the Special Response Team and alongside the Metro Tactical Unit to apprehend violent felons. His exceptional commitment to public safety was recognized with three lifesaving medals for providing critical medical aid.
At Scout Security Group, Jorge oversees client relationships, operational performance, and the training and development of security personnel. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, floating in New Braunfels, and staying active around East Austin.
